GWLN at a glance
Membership is open to anyone who works in the credit union industry regardless of experience or tenure. If you identify as a woman or you are an ally to women, you are welcome to be part of our network.
Strategic initiatives
Sister Societies
Sister Socities are groups of GWLN members and non-members that work to further our global mission through local impact. Sister Societies are an opportunity to gather and network while discussing credit union issues and exchanging ideas, as well as share our learnings with GWLN members worldwide. We currently have 160 Sister Societies in 28 countires.
GWLN scholarship program
We offer annual scholarships to female leaders in the global credit union industry. Scholarships provide in-person and virtual learning opportunities to help diversify skill sets, engage with other credit union professionals on a global scale and become better prepared to lead financial cooperatives in the futureto the question goes here.
Athena Leadership Award
Each year, we present the prestigious Athena Leadership Award during the annual World Credit Union Conference. Inspired by the goddess of Greek mythology who stands for strength, courage, and wisdom, this award is presented to an individual or organization who has made an outstanding contribution to women's leadership in the international credit union movement.

Networking events
The core of GWLN is truly our communities. We host a variety of networking events and opportunities throughout the year and around the globe.
